Pat Payne purchased Spindletop Draperies in 1972. At the time, Spindletop consisted of six sewing machines and six employees located on 6th and Main.
Almost four decades later, the company has 24 employees at a large showroom and manufacturing facility located in the Nulu area on East Jefferson Street. Patʼs son Tyler is now the owner and runs the daily operations. Under Tylerʼs guidance, Spindletop has become a Hunter Douglas Gallery, as well as expanded its showroom, workroom and installation staff.
Spindletop Draperies makes every effort to recycle all items we remove and dispose of from each custom installation. We do our part to minimize waste and to leave as small a footprint, environmentally, as possible. Our aim is to do the best for the environment and for the future.
